Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing or using Open For You, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service
Open For You provides encrypted letter creation, invitation acceptance, scheduled unlocking, permanent ciphertext delivery, mailbox indexing, recovery and paid quota features. Access to permanently delivered letters is not intended to require an active subscription, but networks, devices, keys and third-party protocols may affect availability.
3. Accounts and device identity
- The app may create an anonymous identity automatically. You are responsible for protecting your device, recovery file and credentials.
- Binding Apple or another account can help restore purchases and platform records but does not replace the recovery file.
- You may not impersonate others, share attack credentials or bypass security and quota limits.
4. Letters, encryption and permanent storage
- You retain rights in your content and authorize us to process ciphertext and metadata only as needed to deliver the service.
- After permanent delivery, a letter generally cannot be recalled, changed or deleted.
- We cannot recover lost private keys, recovery-file passwords or unbacked local data.
- Scheduled unlocking depends on cryptographic protocols, public time beacons and network availability and is not guaranteed to occur at an exact second.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful content, harassment, threats, infringement, malware, attempts to decrypt another user's letters, invitation or payment abuse, or infrastructure interference.
6. Subscriptions, quotas and refunds
- Current free, subscription and credit-pack limits are shown in the purchase interface.
- A letter may reserve quota during delivery; successful permanent delivery completes the charge. Safe retries should not charge twice.
- Apple and RevenueCat coordinate purchases. Refunds, taxes and payment disputes follow the store's rules.
- Purchased quota is not cryptocurrency, a security, a bank deposit, transferable value or redeemable cash.
7. Third-party services
The service depends on Apple, RevenueCat, Google Cloud, Neon, Cloudflare, Arweave/Turbo and public time-beacon networks. Their outages or policy changes may affect creation and delivery.
8. Changes and termination
We may change non-core features, pricing or free quotas, or cease operations. We will not intentionally block access to permanently delivered letters solely because a subscription ended, and will use reasonable efforts to publish recovery guidance if operations stop.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perpetual device compatibility, an unchanged permanent network, or recovery after user-held keys are lost.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Holt AI LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Liability caps, consumer-law exceptions and dispute terms require review for each launch jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
Material changes will be announced in the app or on the website. Where law requires separate consent, continued use alone will not replace that consent.
